Nature photo walk

Here they are, folks, the participants in a nature walk I lead today in Forest Park. The goal in all of my walks is to have people thinking about composition, lighting, exposure, and subject as they pursue the art of photographic story-telling. Photography is a craft, and, while worth pursuing, it takes effort, understanding, and a lot of dedicated time to master. The major issue I see in looking at others’ portfolios is a lack of coherence. So, as you’re building your on-line portfolio, don’t just toss a few images that you like up on the web. You need to tell stories with your photos, stories that have beginning, middle and end.
If you’re at loose ends as to how to do that, start here.
