It’s not every day you have 60 or so people join your church, but today was an unusual day! At New City Fellowship
in south Saint Louis City, the church of which I am a member, we had our largest group ever join. Many of the new members are refugees from foreign nations - the Congo, Myanmar, Bhutan - and all are wayfaring strangers like the rest of us, passing through this world on our way to the next. It was a great service! We had baptisms, professions of faith, and solemn declaration of solidarity, to walk with one another, to help each other and to bless those who walk with us, as well as those we meet along the way. You should come and check us out. You’ll recognize me by the saxophone in my hands.
